Cost per action (CPA)

Marketing metrics:
Cost per action (CPA)

Cost per action (CPA) is a metric in advertising campaigns that measures the cost of a user completing a specific action, such as making a purchase, completing a form, downloading an app, or requesting more details. It is a particularly effective metric in campaigns that are not focused on conversion or where no conversion is possible, such as campaigns for online classifieds sites, where conversion does not take place on-site and the action might be requesting the telephone number of a seller. It's an effective way to measure a broader range of touchpoints and actions that occur after a user sees an ad. Interested in learning more?
