The challenge
Million Victories requested a direct head-to-head test between RTB House and another retargeting partner. The main criteria for the test was ROAS, but other factors such as ARPPU, revenue and number of re-engaged players were also considered. The test ran for a significant period, with the data collected over 5 months. Million Victories also dedicated a significant budget to this test to ensure that the results were as reliable as possible. Since this was a head-to-head test against another vendor, delivering good results was not the only objective - it was equally important to outperform the competition.

The solution
At the start of the test, having a strong initial setup led to a successful launch. Once the learning period ended and the bidding algorithms could fully leverage Deep Learning technology, the optimization process shifted to campaign creatives. Both static and video ads performed exceptionally well, and finding the right balance between them was key to achieving outstanding results. Additionally, during the test, RTB House further expanded its extensive inventory, particularly for video creatives, which provided an ever greater competitive edge!

The result
RTB House outperformed the competition in the head-to-head test across multiple metrics. The campaign delivered better D3 and D7 ROAS, along with higher overall revenue. The key to this superior performance was generating higher average revenue per purchase from returning users. While the total number of reengaged players was similar, those acquired through RTB House had a higher average purchase value, resulting in stronger overall ROAS.
